Even the statement “450,000 can’t be wrong” is a fallacy in itself, it is called the Fallacy of Appealing to Popularity.
1. Most people approve of X (have favorable emotions towards X).
2. Therefore X is true.
Yes, 450,000 doctors can be wrong.
Obama claims that “you can keep your current insurance.” It is a lie! By prohibiting new subscribers, he’ll make inexpensive HDHP+HSA plans like mine economically unviable. Health insurance is only viable with a steady influx of new subscribers.
That’s why the so-called “grandfather clause” is pure subterfuge.
As yourself this: if Obamacare is so wonderful, why do they have to lie to promote it?
Don’t be fooled, the claim that “450,000 doctors” support Obamacare is a blatant lie. That number comes from is by adding the membership numbers of all the medical organizations whose leaders have endorsed it.
That’s utterly dishonest.
The USA’s largest medical organization is the AMA, and it is campaigning against any so-called reform that includes a “public option” (government-run program). It has 250,000 members.
Would it be truthful to claim that all 250,000 of them oppose Obamacare?
