Careers in Natural Healing Today

Careers in natural healing are for those who have a passion to help others through a variety of noninvasive and holistic healthcare concepts and therapies. Among some of the more popular holsitic health and natural health careers, serious individuals can pursue professional occupations as doctors of naturopathy, herbal medicine practitioners, massage therapists and chiropractic doctors.

Do you have what it takes to achieve careers in natural healing like massage therapy? While this natural health career is appealing and quite frankly, growing in the ranks of mainstream medicine – it is important to note that prospective candidates must have achieved a minimum of 300-500 hours training* from a professional massage school, institute, or course (*500 hours to become Nationally certified). Working environments for massage therapists include sports medicine facilities, hospitals, day spas, nursing homes, and other medical facilities; however, many entrepreneurs in these careers in natural healing are self-employed, which often requires travel to and from client homes.

Other careers in natural healing like herbal medicine practitioners also require education and training in herbology, plant medicine and other relevant sciences. Once certified as a herbologist, additional training like iridology might enhance your marketability as a self-employed holistic health practitioner.

Some more lucrative careers in natural healing such as Chiropractors earn a comfortable living while helping patients through spinal adjustments and nutritional counseling. However, like most healthcare professionals, chiropractic doctors typically keep long clinical hours, and require a substantial amount of education and training. For that matter, chiropractic practitioners must have achieved a set standard of educational prerequisites from an accredited college or university prior to applying to a chiropractic school. In addition, chiropractic programs encompass course-intensive training for roughly four years.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in attaining natural healing careers, let professional training within fast-growing industries like massage therapy, cosmetology, acupuncture, oriental medicine, Reiki, and others get you started! Learning About Organic Gardening Pest Control

If there is any issue that is particular important when it comes to organic home gardening, it is organic gardening pest control. After all, if you do not have the proper organic gardening pest control in place, bugs and insects are going to be feeding on your plants and they will not be able to grow.

There are some fantastic options available today when it comes to organic gardening pest control, but the major thing you need to be aware of is that if you are organic gardening, you never want to use any products that have chemicals in them. This is very important because this is the whole basis to organic gardening.

Create a Healthy Garden

When it comes to organic gardening pest control, before you even start using any products on your plants, you want to create a healthy garden. You need to make sure that the soil is kept healthy through composting, mulching, and applying natural fertilizers. You can even make your own compost, and keep it in the backyard until you need it.

Once you have the soil ready to go, you can move on to choosing the right organic gardening pest control products to use. Using vinegar as an herbicide is one of the best ideas, and one of the best ways to go about organic gardening pest control. Household vinegar and other concentrations of acetic acid are effective weed killers, and you don’t need to worry about them ruining the plants.

Cornmeal can also work very well in the organic garden, as researchers have discovered that cornmeal has powerful fungicidal properties and is extremely effective on all kinds of landscape fungus problems. Keep in mind that these are just a few of the most basic ideas when it comes to organic, all natural gardening.

There are many other ingredients and products that you can use on your garden as well which will be effective in dealing with pests and not kill the plants. Just make sure that if you are ever shopping for organic pest control products that you read the list of ingredients before purchasing it.

You will find that often times a product will be advertised as being completely natural when really if you were to read through the ingredients you would see that there were some ingredients that are not natural at all. Basically the way that you can tell if an ingredient is not natural, is if you are not able to pronounce it, it’s not natural.

Natural Healing Therapies Today – Part I

Natural Healing Schools in the United States and Canada are growing quickly as the demand for alternative and complementary medicines is on the rise. Some of the many reasons why natural healing therapies and techniques are as widely accepted as they are are due in part to reported negative drug affects and interactions. Unlike conventional medicine, natural healing therapies are typically non-invasive and usually have minimal or no adverse side effects.

For example, natural healing techniques like massage therapy, offer a wealth of physical and emotional relaxation, and are known for its ability to improve circulation, enhance immune system functioning, and reduce stress – through natural and safe methods. As most individuals know, stress is one of the biggest risk factors in dis-ease; and with the added regimen of a natural healing therapy like massage, one can naturally realize the benefits.

Another great natural healing discipline is Chinese herbal medicine. Often offered as part of a greater Acupuncture and Oriental medicine curriculum, Chinese herbal medicine is based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and is widely used in the East as the main form of treatment, and is growing in recognition here in North America. Natural health medicines like this entail a broad range of botanical treatments, including plant and plant extracts, tinctures, essential oil extracts, herbs, spices, aromatherapy, and nutrients and supplements (including nutritional/dietary counseling). The principle behind Chinese herbal medicine is to restore balance of the yin and yang; therefore restoring balance to the mind, spirit and body.

Other natural healing medicines like homeopathy (“like cures like”) are commonly found as over-the-counter drugs at retail outlets and pharmacies. However, there is also a number of healing arts schools that provide training in homeopathy, as well as part of a larger naturopathic school program.

An innovative natural healing tool used by chiropractors today is the cold laser. The tool, resembling a cross between a microphone and a flashlight produces low-level laser light that is directly applied to the body parts affected by rheumatoid arthritis, and other chronic pain conditions. As a non-invasive treatment, this natural healing technique is known to help in reducing painful, enflamed joints.

Homeopathy Medicine

Homeopathy medicine has been around for many years. Homeopathy, next to conventional medical treatment, is the most widely used form of treatment. It’s both safe and effective.

Even though homeopathy is natural and safe, you must always consult with your doctor or professional health care specialist. This is just as a precaution and general common sense.

Dosage & Strength

In general, the longer you’ve had a medical issue, the higher the strength of the dosage. So, if something is troubling you for a short time, then you start off with a lower dose.

However, nothing is written in stone. Each homeopath is different and may have his or her own style, method or philosophy. Generally speaking, lower doses and potency are the norm.

Adjusting To Homeopathic Medicine

When taking homeopathy medicine, one may need to make changes and even sacrifices. After all, if you want to get well, you need to stay focused and determined. Sometimes, everyday things can make the medicine lose its potency.

For example, you may want to give up or reduce coffee. You might have to reduce mint flavors and therefore, give up on chewing gum (if you have bad breath, not to worry. Homeopathy can take care of that too!)

The reason for these sacrifices is because you may need to take homeopathy medicine by placing it under your tongue (or sublingually). Not all homeopathic treatments are like this though. There may be ointments or creams involved in your treatment.

Homeopathy For Children & Infants

Many children and even infants are treated with homeopathy, so it’s quite safe and widely practiced. It’s natural medicine that uses mineral, plant and animal products in small doses.

Your homeopath will ask a series of questions before embarking on the right treatment. Basically, homeopathy helps the body to stimulate its natural ability to heal.

Homeopathy medicine has been used successfully in not only treating children and infants but also pregnant women as well. In fact, it can even be used on our beloved pets.

Homeopathic medicine will very likely grow in popularity as we head into the future. It’s safe and effective and it’s probably the best way to deal with our ailments.

Giri Anantha has experience in panic attacks and agoraphobia. He recommends the use of homeopathy in treating these conditions as well as using homeopathy to treat other conditions as well. For more, please visit http://www.panic-and-agoraphobia.com/homeopathics-for-panic-attack.html
